At Metallic Mannequin we forgo lavish spectacle to focus on the simple theatricality and artistic craftsmanship that truly furthers and highlights the work of our composers, playwrights, devisors, and directors. As homegrown as we are inventive, the Metallic Mannequin Company has its roots firmly planted in the Kalamazoo community, combining local artists, new work, and unconventional spaces to bring you new theatrical experiences that whet your appetite for more!
Our Name
Chip THE Metallic Mannequin
We take our company's name from Chip our mascot and resident metallic mannequin. THE Metallic Mannequin is a title young Chip takes very seriously, and strives to encourage, inspire, and mystify artists and audiences alike. After finding him abandoned on the mean streets of this cruel world we quickly claimed him as our mascot and gave him his signature silver metallic makeover. He stands proudly at each performance as a symbol of the untapped potential in the everyday and the thrown away.
